Ascent Helicopters is a dynamic helicopter charter company in Parksville, BC with a 19-year history of domestic and international operations.

Ascent offers specialized services to the aerial/powerline industry and has been awarded a 10-year contract with BCEHS to provide air ambulance service to the entire province of BC.

We also have a proud history in wildfire suppression, search and rescue, heli-skiing, mining/natural resource, tourism and film/television.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, verify, and process employee payroll payments
  • Process subcontractor invoices and process payments
  • Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as yearend tax statements, Records of Employment and other statements
  • Assist with entry of payables, receivables credit card transactions, bank statements, and inventory
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Communicate in a professional manner with vendors or clients when additional clarification or information is required

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience processing fullcycle payroll
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word)
  • Intermediate/Advanced skill level in Excel
Experience with the following would be considered an asset:

  • NetSuite
  • Avanti
  • Federally regulated workplaces
  • Averaging agreements
  • Human Resources administration

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$28.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
