Are you mechanically inclined and like being out in the field where the action is? If so, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Technician at our Fort Saskatchewan terminal to maintain mechanical equipment efficiently in good operational order and work to minimize throughput losses within our pipeline facilities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

What you will do:

  • Provide after hours on call and emergency response for an oncall rotation at the terminal, remote stations, mainline valve sites, and all communication equipment.
  • Provide support, as required, for remote stations and valve sites.
  • Work closely with other groups within Enbridge responsible for maintenance, measurement and operations.
  • Maintains a wide variety of mechanical equipment in good working order by performing both repair and preventative maintenance & complete and maintain maintenance records in Maximo.
  • Implements our Safety & Environment programs and policies as required.
  • Participates in the Performance management process to keep work activities and focus on company strategic objectives.
  • Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical and drug testing.

Who you are:

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent and Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanical or Millwright with interprovincial certification.
  • Minimum 5 years related industrial experience.
  • Possess good interpersonal, communications and interactive people skills with a positive attitude towards safe work practices and safe driving habits.
  • Strong skills in change management and the ability to adapt to changing working environments.
  • Strong Computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook an asset.

Working conditions:

  • Shift schedule is an Alternative Work Arrangement
  • Field environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions and potential respiratory hazards. Frequent travel required within area.
  • Work includes both indoor and outdoor activities (70/30).
  • Position is manual in nature, physical and manual tasks are required.
  • Stationed at Stonefell Terminal (Fort Saskatchewan), with the South main office located in Lac La Biche. Travel will be required.
