VPEA has a comprehensive and well-established management system for international student, which is original and unique in China, has helped more than 10000 Chinese students to study abroad successfully.
Responsibilities
- Provides general support to our students in Victoria, BC (Mainly international high school students).
- Engaging with students regularly to ensure a positive student experience.
- Serve as an advisor, a primary point of contact for students, parents, and school partners.
- Responds in a timely, professional manner to student, parent, and school partner inquiries, answers questions and provide supports related to student life and academic performance by phone, on social media and in person.
- Work oneonone with individual families as an independent consultant, personalize solutions for individual students.
- Assists team in collection of documents from international students, parents, and school partners.
- Maintains uptodate records both hard copy (physical student files) and electronically (Business web portal).
- Responsible for providing various reports to department manager and executive manager.
- May be called upon for various data collection projects and paperwork as it relates to the University Application Department.
- Perform other duties as assigned, in accordance with department objectives.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements
- Postsecondary education in related field
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in both English AND Mandarin
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive, professional, collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage time and tasks with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service focus and problemsolving skills
- Ability to be both selfdirected and coachable.
- Recent direct experience working and liaising with students, preferably in a local Canadian student life context.
- Experience with event planning and coordination would be an asset.
- Previous customer service, sales, or marketing experience would be an asset.
Other Requirements
- hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to commute/relocate: Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. This role is inperson.
