Description

The Client Support Case Worker will provide outreach and customized services to support Temporary foreign workers (TFWs) employed in Calgary and areas.

The position ensures that TFWs receive the services to address their unique needs.

It is also responsible for providing education to temporary foreign workers in adapting to living in a new environment, integrating into the Canadian culture, and working in a Canadian company setting, linking them with government agencies, ethno-cultural organizations and other service providers.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conduct initial intake and needs assessments, regular check-ins, empowerment plans, and on-going needs assessments as required;:

Monitor and evaluate appropriate supports at regular intervals to assess changing intervention needs;:

Provide enhanced services for TFWs in person, remotely by telephone, through a variety of digital platforms, and at employer jobsite;:

-
Identify ways to reach out to host communities where foreign workers are residing, support service providers, ethno-cultural and faith communities;:

Recommend service delivery improvements and assist with their implementation when necessary

Maintain thorough documentation of client cases in compliance with funder reporting requirement;

Counseling

Identify right government agency or community organization to refer clients;:

Guide TFWs in their health and wellbeing during their tenure in Alberta, and to support the long-term settlement and integration outcomes in their immigration journey;:

Support temporary foreign workers by offering solutions to their inquiries and making the appropriate referrals;:

Facilitate training and information sessions for temporary foreign workers

Administrative duties

Daily, weekly and monthly planning to ensure service delivery

Create and maintain database and filing system

Data Consolidation for funders report:

- **Encode information received during counseling, seminars and workshops.

Qualifications:

University Degree or equivalent in Sociology, Human Resources, Psychology, or any other people focused discipline

Good understanding of settlement issues of temporary foreign workers:

Fluency in oral and written English is required; ability to speak another language is a strong asset
:

Must have a positive and collaborative attitude, demonstrates flexibility, reliability and proactiveness, and takes initiative
:

Available to work flexible / irregular hours including evenings and weekends
:

- **Current valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is a strong asset.
