Position Summary:

The Cash Applications Specialist supports the Accounts Receivable Manager in recording client payments in appropriate accounts, researching, identifying, and resolving complex payment discrepancies and answering client inquiries as needed.

Responsibilities:

Processes and reconciles account receivables accounts via received remittances.
Performs periodic reconciliations of customer account statements.
Creates Cash Worksheet to accurately track financial information.
Identifies and reports payment discrepancies and balance account payment issues to assigned collector.
Identifies and resolves rootcauses of recurring disputes and delinquent payments, working with assigned collector to resolve.
Ability to process all payment types (ACH, Wires, Online Processors, Credit Cards, Checks, etc.) with high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
Assists and works cooperatively with other departments, as necessary, in handling inquiries and requests and in resolving customer complaints.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary education in finance, accounting or equivalent field required.
Minimum 1 year of Cash Application experience in an Accounts Receivable environment
Sound knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
Ability to analyze large sets of data.
Excellent customer service skills

Salary:
$55,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
