HR Generalist - Montréal, Canada - Ashfield Engage
Description
Key Objectives:
- Maintain and organize all HR Department records, employment files.
- Ensure integrity in our HRIS (Workday) system; daily maintenance of HRIS system: entering new employees, updating employee information, time off management etc.
- Support HR and Recruitment Team on approved offer letters and related documents to new hires.
- Support Recruitment Team on initiating background checks.
- Assemble new hire packages and ensure that related Human Resources documentation and forms are current
- Provide HR orientation content and meetings for new hires
- Administration of the Health Benefits Plans, Life Insurance and Long-
Term Disability Plan:
Enrolment, changes, terminations of benefits
- Administration of CNESST, WSIB and all Health and Safety Boards across Canada
- Administration and update the time off plans, leave of absences (disability, maternal, paternal and paternity leaves)
- Provide employee information to payroll as requested and update the payroll platform
- Assist in preparing final termination paperwork for departing staff members.
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of required HRIS reporting
- Assist Recruitment in tracking the referral bonus program and processing the bonuses
- Lead on Employee Recognition (STAR) Program;
- Implement HR initiatives to meet locally identified needs ensuring these are compatible with Global policies
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations related to Human Resources lunch and learn employee training sessions
- Help with the design and testing of any HRIS system and ServiceNow changes
- Canadian Lead for Environmental, Health and Safety Committee
- Assist with internal and external training and developmental initiatives.
- Lead performance management procedures
- Execute HR and Payroll Year End activities (déclaration des salaires, déclaration de formation etc )
- Assists with other HR tasks as required
Job Holder Specification:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or 23 years of Human Resources
- Must be fluently bilingual English and French (oral and written)
- A minimum of 3 years progressive HR experience
- A minimum of 2 years in a generalist HR role
- Ideally experience with Workday and NetHRIS
- Indepth knowledge of Canadian & Provincial Employment Law
- Experience in completing payroll/taxes year end activities.
- Ability to recognize confidential information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize
- Demonstrated analytical, communications and problemsolving skills
- Excellent skills in Outlook, Word, Excel (including ability to write formulas) and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn new software programs and systems, including HRIS & ATS
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Understanding of general Human Resources and recruiting practices
- Works well autonomously and a team player
- Experience working in the pharma industry, preferred
- Computer literacy
