There is an opportunity to build a comprehensive family practice and/or provide Walk-In-Clinic and TeleMedicine care.

Job description

Jack Nathan Health is seeking family doctors to provide primary care services at our Walmart SuperCentre clinic located at 23550 Woodbine Avenue, in Keswick.

Located on the southern tip of Lake Simcoe, on Cooks Bay, Keswick is far enough out of the city to enjoy a rural lifestyle, but close enough to Newmarket and Toronto to enjoy the benefits of a large urban city.

Our modern clinic features five medical exam rooms, and a physician charting room, ideal for two permanent physicians, and itinerant physician providing walk-in services.

Our managed care model allows physicians a stress-free work/life balance with our Jack Nathan Health team providing full administrative support, staffing, billing, EMR, and procurement of supplies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide patientfocused primary care to the highest standard of care for your patients
Your practice will focus on health promotion, advising prevention of disease and disorders as well as rehabilitative care
Complete comprehensive assessments/screenings utilizing experience, knowledge, training and additional sources to obtain diagnosis and treatment, manage and followup of care recommendations, physical examination, onsite trauma care, pharmacological prescription/administration, order laboratory testing/diagnostic imaging
Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients physical and mental health
Refer patients for specialized care and/or consults
As a member of the Jack Nathan Health family, crossrefer to additional onsite services (health counseling and support, multidisciplinary health and rehabilitation care services etc.)
Experience/specialization in pediatrics, adult medicine and aging population will be an asset
Offer walkin care services
Prepare detailed, highquality assessments, treatment reports and clinical documentation in our EMR
Immunization you will vaccinate patients as per Public Health vaccination schedule
You possess an acute sense of autonomy, professionalism, and respect for ethical principles
You have excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to patients while demonstrating empathy, listening, and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

Previous experience as primary care physician or family physician in a community clinic setting is an asset
Good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) / College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
Current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage
Offer inperson visits to patients
Adherence to evidencebased practices and standards of best practice
Superior multitasking, time management, organizational skills
Excellent computer skills (ability to work with webbased video conferencing)
Approachable exemplary team member to staff and patients
Provide coverage for other physicians for absences and vacation
Availability to work evenings and weekends
