Job description
We are an accommodation company seeking a new full time 40 hours per week addition to our team in the form of a skilled finance data analyst and forecaster and rate programmer.
Your role will involve developing pricing models, programming the models and rates and analyzing competitor and historic occupation pricing,
This role ensures that all pricing is correctly calculated, programmed, verified, and aligned with contracts, internal commission structures, VAT requirements, and distribution channel rules.
The position plays a critical financial control function, directly impacting company and client revenue, and compliance with contractual and tax obligations.
- Pricing Strategy & Programming
- Calculate, structure, and maintain accurate pricing models based on owner contracts
- Apply correct commission percentages, VAT, supplements, discounts rules
- Program prices across property management and distribution platforms, ensuring consistency with internal pricing documents
- Managing complex pricing scenarios including:
- Revenue Calculations & Verification
- Perform detailed revenue calculations
- Independently verify that programmed prices and received revenues are mathematically correct
- Identify and investigate discrepancies, rounding errors, or under collection of commission
- Liaise with internal team or external platforms when pricing inconsistencies are detected
- Client Payment Calculations
- Calculate owner payouts accurately.
- Manage different payment structures,
- Fixed commission arrangements
- Ensure payments comply strictly with contractual terms
- Financial Controls & Documentation
Maintain and update core internal financial documents, including:
- Rules & Prices documents
- Reservation trackers
- Prepayment terms
- Document calculation logic clearly for auditability, internal verification, and training purposes
- Ensure pricing logic is consistent across all systems and reference documents
- Platform & Channel Management
- Apply correct supplements, discounts, and commissions according to platform limitations
- Manage platform specific exceptions and ensure parity with internal pricing logic
- Reporting, Analysis & Market Research
- Maintain monthly reservation and revenue trackers
- Analyze booking trends, pacing, gaps, and performance
- Support revenue, income, and profitability analysis at property and portfolio level
- Assist in identifying pricing or performance issues and improvement opportunities
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with:
Property scheduling
Owner relations
Management
- Communicate pricing logic, changes, and discrepancies clearly to non technical team members
Mandatory skills:
