Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, work with low voltage systems, and utilize a variety of hand and power tools. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across industrial and renovation projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The Journeyperson Electrician will play a vital role in supporting construction, renovation, and ongoing electrical operations within our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings and during renovation projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical work efficiently and safely
- Work with low voltage systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems
- Assist in the planning and execution of electrical layouts for new construction or renovation projects
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or plumbers during complex projects
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyperson license or certification
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical codes
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems, low voltage wiring, PLCs, and control panels
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Hands-on experience in construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Prior handyman experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
