Strand is seeking an individual who is passionate about managing a dynamic real estate office, its culture and talent acquisition efforts.

Founded in Vancouver in 1976, Strand has been actively involved in a number of real estate sectors, including: the development and acquisition of multi-family apartments and condominium projects, single family land and housing developments, the development of multi-unit warehouse projects, the acquisition of office building properties, and the provision of mortgage financing to developers for residential and commercial developments throughout North America.

While Strand has maintained a relatively low profile, consistent with the philosophy of its major shareholders and financial partners, Strand has acquired, developed, and financed over 23,000 homes across North America while consistently maintaining its established reputation for successfully and conscientiously developing real estate.

Strand is active throughout several regions in North America, with its head office, located in Vancouver, and regional offices in the southeastern and western United States.

YOU WILL

  • Manage and maintain the CEO and President's calendar and scheduling internal and external appointments and meetings
  • Act as the point of contact between the CEO and President and internal/external stakeholders
  • Coordinate all travel arrangements both business and personal as required
  • Handle all administrative support including, but not limited to, sensitive/confidential matters and correspondence
  • Compose meeting minutes and issue to internal and external teams
  • Predict when certain correspondence is needed and prepare proactively
  • Review and sort incoming mail, faxes and couriers and respond accordingly to items
  • Investor reporting letters, merges, labels, mailout and filing
  • Compose and type correspondence
  • Coordinate the graphics, typing and printing of property acquisition summaries
  • Maintain files of all executive documents including correspondence, itineraries and meetings, either in personal files or in the central filing systems
  • Fax, photocopy, courier and mail any material as required, including typing cover letters
  • Administration of banking, expense tracking and bookkeeping for various projects and personal holding companies
  • Manage office supplies, provisions and administer certain office service contracts
  • Manage storage of files
  • Personal errands and driving for the President, as needed
  • Provide sporadic support of development related public information meetings and open houses
  • Plan and organize events
  • Other duties as required

YOU HAVE

  • Minimum five years' experience at a senior administrative role
  • Positive energy
  • Calm under pressure and capable of thinking on their feet in a crisis
  • Highly organized with exceptional multitasking skills
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to use good judgment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive team player but able to perform well independently
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Valid and clean Class5 Driver's License
  • Strong decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
