We are a boutique Dog Walking and Pet-sitting company that has been servicing Vancouver for a decade. We offer off-leash group dog hikes and boarding at both clients and pet-sitters' homes.

About the Position
Pawz Unleashed is looking for a reliable and experienced Dog Walker for GROUP WALKS


Responsibilities include:

• Pick up dogs from clients homes and safely transport them to the trails
• Walking or hiking 6 dogs offleash in forest trails for 90 mins in all weather conditions
• Engaging in play while also having ability to maintain calm environment
• Return dogs home safely, towel dry and top of water or food if requested
• Follow any detailed instructions on particular dogs
• Send video and pictures of pets during their walk
• Pick and dispose waste
• Providing clients feedback on dogs behavior or unusual occurrences

Group walks a day

• 2 weeks of paid training
• Is an animal lover, especially dogs But also a people person
• Demonstrates kindness and compassion towards the animals and handles each dog with patience and respect
• Has strong customer service skills with attention focused on building and maintaining positive relationships with petowners
• Enjoys the outdoors and has the physical strength to run or walk alongside dogs and the capability to handle large dogs on and off leash as well as be on your feet for long periods of time
• Is reliable, dependable and trustworthy and excels in communication with both employer and petowners
• Enjoys using social media for pet updates
• Has the ability to take dogs for overnight boarding *not required
• Has a flexible work schedule

Requirements:

• 20 years or older
• Has a valid driver's license and decent abstract
• Is bondable and is willing to complete a criminal background check
• Minimum of 6 months commitment
• Available to work 23 days a week Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm
• 68 hour shifts
• Has Pet-First Aid Certification complete
• Has previous group dog walking or training experience with ability to walk and handle multiple dogs, big and small with differing personalities from anxious to reactive
• Has a smart phone with a data capability to send media and communicate with clients
• Ability to work solo
• Have outdoor clothing and shoes suitable for all weather conditions

Part-time hours: 12-18 per week

From $18.00 per hour
