How you will make a difference:
The CFO will be an integral member of the senior leadership team providing financial and strategic leadership to the entire finance function.
As an effective business partner to the CEO and Executive Team, participating in and supporting strategic and operational decision making, the CFO will provide timely financial analyses, performance management information and strategic thought leadership to drive the organization towards growth and achieving its objectives.
What You'll Do:
Lead all areas of the Finance department (Finance and Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, AP, Payroll, Tax, Lease Accounting, Cash and Treasury).
Oversee all financial aspects at CNFL AV1 , Real Estate holdings, investments, and partnerships.Ensure timely, clear, consistent, financial and management reporting, financial measurement, and analysis is communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
Provide the critical metrics and insights which support planning and performance management within the company.Collaborate and partner with business leaders to provide timely and meaningful information to support strategic and operational decision making as well as expense control.
Support M&A activities, providing value-added financial support and post-acquisition integration of the finance function.Drive and manage change and innovation within the Finance department
Partner with CIO to drive effective and efficient financial systems, assessing the need for and implementing necessary system enhancements.
Provide leadership and coaching to finance teams encouraging enhanced performance, professional and personal development.Develop an effective talent recruitment and management strategy to attract, develop, and retain finance talent and the skillsets required to support stewardship and business partnership responsibilities.
Promote and ensure the presence of strong governance, internal controls, compliance, and ethics.Responsible for internal controls
Develop alliances with investors
Responsible for all financial reporting
Prepare financial statements
Work with accountants and tax lawyers to prepare all necessary reports and returns
Manage the income tax provision and liaise with external tax advisors to manage all corporate returns
Develop and implement policies for finance and accounting team as necessary
Work with Real Estate and property management
Maintain the best interests of the company and devise methods to safeguard it
Have a solid understanding of underwriting practices as it relates to investments and acquisitions
Participate in acquisitions and provide commentary on PSAs
What You'll Need:
A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
A Bachelor or Masters' degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline
Experience as CFO and/or SVP Finance with a minimum of 15-20 years of broad and progressively responsible experience leading all areas of a finance function
Preferred experience within large organizations
Have a mindset for getting things done and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment bringing a sense of urgency to everything you do
Having experience successfully implementing/upgrading financial systems in a timely and efficient manner
Proven leadership ability combined with strong communication skills
