Job Purpose & Responsibilities:
This is a
permanent, full-time position with the Community Services Department.
Reporting to the Social Programs Coordinator, this position is responsible for:
- Developing, executing, and evaluating several multi-agency grant based community partnership programs and activities that exist within the FCSS Department.
- Enhancing multiagency collaboration in dealing with community based social issues.
- Working in collaboration with local and regional agencies, organizations, families, and volunteers to promote an understanding of existing and emerging social issues and the resulting program and service development.
- Serving as a frontline contact in the promotion of multiagency community collaboration.
This position is 35 hours a week with flexibility required to attend programming on evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary Certificate or Diploma in a Human Services field.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a comparable, responsible support position, preferably in a familyoriented setting.
- This position requires a Criminal Record Check and Child Welfare check, along with a Class 5 Driver's Licence.
