Description

Job description:

  • We have been selected to build the Internal Audit & Risk team of an awardwinning construction, engineering and development business, on an exclusively retained basis. Having built some of the World's most recognisable and famous buildings and infrastructure projects, they are known to be one of the most premium businesses in their industry. The current mandate we have is to recruit an Interim Risk Manager, paying between £ per day (inside IR35).

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk, the primary part of this role is build, maintain and communicate the company Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policy, objectives and expectations, via the roll out of the ERM framework, and to support the strategic business units with the identification and reporting of strategic and material business risks and associated control environment.

We are looking for a person with some experience in ERM, who has the ability to work in teams as well as on individual projects, is a team player and willing to contribute to the development of the function.

You will need to be a self-starter who can manage your own time and proactively seek and execute activities that will add value to the Risk function.

This would be an ideal role for someone who has some (enterprise) risk management experience, who is looking to build on that background and deliver a project of real value as we build the team.

This position will provide extensive insight to the whole organisation and significant exposure to senior management.

The Risk and the Internal Audit function have been given significant investment, so the profile of the department has grown considerably, particularly recently, so this role, albeit interim is of significant importance as part of that growth.

We are looking for an established risk/ERM professional, who possesses excellent communication skills, especially in relationship and stakeholder management.

The role will be based in their London head office, with some travel around the UK, and internationally very occasionally.

Flexible working arrangements around the UK can be discussed too.
