Our consultants develop new solutions to provide retirement security to a globally aging society.

Join our growing Retirement consulting team in providing actuarial expertise in retirement and investment consulting to support global organizations in optimizing the effectiveness of their employee retirement programs.

Whether a client has a defined benefit pension or a defined contribution plan, we work with them to determine the right approach to designing, funding, investing, communicating, governing and ensure employee management that fits their specific goals.


As a retirement associate, you will collaborate on a wide variety of complex projects, including designing plans ranging from defined contribution to defined benefit plans, as well as managing risks and finances for a broad range of corporate retirement plans.

You will also be responsible for preparing actuarial valuations and accounting disclosures while ensuring compliance management.

You will be required to build your own client relationships and manage the annual calendar of activities for some of your clients.

To achieve this, you will have access to a training program tailored to your needs.


Given the size and complexity of our client portfolio, you will have the opportunity to support diverse projects related to annuity purchasing, mergers and acquisitions, asset liability studies, forecasting, assisted negotiations and other special projects as needed.

The Role

  • Partner with consultants to deliver strategic support on client projects
  • Serve as daytoday project manager, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Develop professional expertise, as well as technical knowledge and skills in the area of retirement plans
  • Deliver on projects to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Perform technical review of work products
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on crossfunctional teams
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Contribute to the growth of the business as part of the broader team

The Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or any other related university training
  • At least two to six years' experience in retirement consulting, including experience in Canadian retirement plans
  • Proven experience successfully handling multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Client relationship and interpersonal skills, as well as team player
  • Business acumen and indepth knowledge of the market
  • Executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Problem solver; able to identify and solve challenging problems
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fastpaced environment
  • Sense of accountability; owning one's work and taking pride in it
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • ASA/ACIA or FSA/FCIA credentials or significant progress towards these credentials
