Overview:

The Front End Manager is responsible for the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department.

The Manager will lead and manage staff to achieve the highest level of customer service, while adhering to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives.

The Manager will also manage budgets, labour costs, inventory control, product presentation and merchandising.

The Manager will coach, motivate and develop their team to foster customer loyalty, fulfil customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To control frontend wage and wrapping costs
  • To maintain records for uniforms and inventories
  • To establish and enforce cash handling procedures
  • To prepare and submit payroll records
  • Interviewing, scheduling and managing Front End employees
  • To implement training and development programs for frontend staff
  • To promote the policy of good customer service relations through fast, friendly frontend service
  • To review and update (as required) frontend security procedures as directed by the Loss Prevention Department
  • To ensure Health and Safety Legislation, Policies and Practices are followed within the department
  • To assist in resolving customer and employee personnel related matters

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Above average communication skills (oral and written)
  • Full knowledge of department operations and skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office suite
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 18 months of retail store experience, particularly in the specific department
  • Good working knowledge of payroll, invoices, signup procedures for new employees and frontend supervision
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety Legislation, Policies and Practices
