    Aerotek is hiring a Mechanical Assembler

    SHIFT:

    8am- 4:30pm

    2 x 15 mins breaks

    Lunch :30

    Wage: $20-$23 depending on experience

    Description:

    This person will be working at an assembly station

    Assembling Units (motors, gear box, variable speed inverter etc.) 65% off the time

    Review the work order , gather parts and place them on the assembly line to be assembled.

    The assembly of motors consists of pushing gears on shaft and bearings and putting everything into various housings to end up with a completed product.

    You will be using a rubber mallet (hammer), circlips and needle nosed pliers to assemble units as well as an air gun to clean particles from the gear case.

    When working on the repair line, you will be required to disassemble motors, and check to see where the damage occurred

    Visual check work order and parts - 15% of the time

    Checks all parts prior to assembly of the unit for damaged gears

    Area Maintenance 10%

    Restock parts including bolts, nuts, washers and shims. You are responsible for maintenance of your tools by keeping them oiled, clean and sharp.

    Cleans Gear Housing and Cleans Work Area for Safety - 10% of the time

    Cleans dirt, steel, debris and rust from gear housings using a compressed air gun.

    MUST HAVE:

    1 year of recent experience in mechanical assembly

    Ability to lift 30lbs

    Willing to pass a doctors clearance with client AFTER accepting offer

    -Stable daytime shifts with opportunity for Overtime/After Hours depending on position.

    -Have not conducted any layoffs in the past several years (30+, probably more), even when Cov-19 was at its peak.

    -Non-unionized environment, workers are not subject to union dues, bumping, strike etc.

    -All employees are provided with, at minimum, two-weeks' vacation, as well as 5 paid personal days & 4 paid sick days and a floater day.

    -All employees are added to our company group benefits plan with RBC after 3 months of probation (great benefits program, all managers & workers are on the same plan). The company pays for all benefits premiums, except for 50% of dental premium. (Employees have the option to purchase optional benefits but would have to pay that premium).

    -Benefits include: extended health, dental, short term disability, long term disability, AD&D, life insurance, Health Spending Account $550 per calendar year, Wellness Spending Account of $150 per calendar year, Best Doctors and Critical Illness.

    -After 1 year of working at the company, employees are added to our company's Pension Plan with Canada life. The company matches 3% contribution for the first 1-4 years, and at 5 years the company matches 5%.

    -Through Canada Life - We also offer TFSA, RESP (no match but can do payroll deduction).

    -All employees have access to our company EAP plan with Shepell, available 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

    -All employees are encouraged to participate in company-wide events such as fundraisers for special causes & fun games such as team challenges.

    -Signing bonus of $500.00 per employee, (250 at start, 250 after 3 months).

    -All employees qualify for yearly bonuses which is dependent on last years' sales & annual increases

    This role is entry level position, can start right away, is transit accessible and located in Delta.
