Aon is looking for a National Sales Leader for Personal lines, Affinity and Commercial

Are you a high energy sales professional with a passion for identifying the right solutions for your clients' problems?
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from a local office. Travel across Canada will be required.

Based in Toronto you will oversee the national sales for personal lines, affinity and commercial.

What the day will look like

Distinct Client Value
Responsible for overall sales in these areas within Personal Lines, Affinity, and Micro Commercial
Developing the national strategy to drive new revenue growth and client retention in Personal Lines
Developing comprehensive plans with Local, Regional and National Management for identified targeted prospects and existing clients based on pre-agreed financial goals and in support of business targets through use of the Aon Client Promise and opportunities presented therein
Overall accountability for Personal Lines new business performance and as such, reviewing Personal Lines performance results across the country and work with regional leadership to identify, spearhead and leverage new market and client service opportunities within the local community, determine causes for underperformance, and identifying necessary corrective action steps where actions are not being met
Working with National Personal Lines centres to promote and manage the Personal Lines sales "pipeline" to increase the percentage of sales closed through direct prospecting, through interdependent commercial sales initiatives and in partnership with Sales Teams efforts within the region and Branch
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve our annual growth targets
Work with various branches, business development manager and sales team leaders internally to bring in opportunities and determine a market and solution for client
Annually develop a growth plan and ensures each team leader supports the plan
Maintain knowledge of industry and company's products and services and work with the markets to have solutions for the teams
Respond both strategically and tactically to changes in the market, competition, business goals and strategies as required
Manage digital marketing strategies to achieve our revenue goals
Manage online lead generation programs
Talent Management
Motivate and coach direct reports to meet established team targets in sales, service standards, productivity, and quality
Lead the recruitment and development of the national sales team managers, business development team including training, performance management, coaching and administration of human resource policies
Support the development of national growth initiatives and programs: onboarding, training, sales incentive programs, marketing campaigns, prospect assignment, lead nurturing, activity management, pipeline management, and dispute resolution
Help colleagues speak with One Voice to our clients and prospects, and actively works to drive Aon United behaviours to identify new opportunities and connect colleagues across the firm
Cultivate and provide day-to-day leadership and share sales standard methodologies. Operates in a consistent, transparent, and predictable manner so the national team understands expectations
Drive and supervise the implementation of the sales process. Ensures prospects are assigned to the most appropriate colleagues and transferred when underlying activity is not sufficient. Instills activity management protocols to ensure activity supports sales goals
Support the Managing Director to prepare for monthly forecast calls and business reviews.
Performs related duties as assigned

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Proven success in leading, developing and growing a team in a high-change environment
Charismatic, motivational and coaching-focused leadership style
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Commerce or similar area of focus is a definite asset
5 years' experience in Sales Leadership and Marketing Experience
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, multiple projects and frequent change while maintaining a positive attitude
High level of organization
