About the role


The Revenue and Inventory Analyst is responsible for providing support to the strategic and profitable management of G Adventures product.

As part of a greater team, this position will play a role in facilitating and supporting profitable growth, while minimizing excessive risk, through effective revenue and inventory management and data analysis.


This role will actively communicate with a variety of company stakeholders and provide recommendations to achieve optimal outcomes for our travellers and the organization.

Further, this role will have a particular focus on ideating and supporting cross-functional predictive analytics projects.

This role will utilize tools and resources including the full set of Company systems reports, discounting, special promotions, marketing initiatives, local sales, and inventory load management as tactics to achieve targets.

What you'll be doing- Plan, build and monitor inventory levels for assigned regions and products- Set pricing strategy for each assigned product through analysis of cost information from the contracting team and in line competitive research and commercial needs- Review, analyze and report on profitability- Collaborate with regional product and operations teams to understand challenges or opportunities that relate to profitability (e.g.

cost changes on trip profitability)- Work closely with various sales and marketing stakeholders to identify ways to drive sales growth- Develop relationships across departments to ensure full support of risk product (e.g.

boats, overland vehicles) and coordinate efforts towards our company product priorities- Implement inventory management strategies to achieve targets set by company through discounting, pricing strategy and system tools- Plan and lead monthly strategy meetings with Destination Teams comprised of Product, Buying, Operations and Revenue Management- Gain an in depth understanding of Key Performance Indicators and taking appropriate action to achieve company and departmental targets- Use a wide variety of available reports and reporting tools to employ data analysis techniques to derive meaningful insights, patterns and trends with the dual goals of profitability maximization and high customer satisfaction scores- Represent and drive the interests of the revenue management department through effective and clear communication with stakeholders- Liaise with internal departments to determine appropriate fees for exceptional cases as required- Develop and deliver audience-appropriate presentations of revenue management data intelligence- Develop and implement new procedures and reporting to maximize profitability and efficiency- Assist in the provision of regular reports and stats for the Senior Leadership team as required

Desired Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Math, Economics or similar or equivalent training and experience- Minimum of 2 years experience in an analyst role or similar- At least 1-2 years' experience with creating and analyzing forecasting and trending data- At least 1 year experience working with stakeholders or customers, preferably from a variety of cultural or language backgrounds- Intermediate knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets- Experience with CRM or Business Intelligence software (eg. Salesforce, Tableau, Looker) Experience with project management, particularly across cross-functional teams- Extremely organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands- Superior attention to detail and a love of problem solving- Solid understanding of travel industry, product, processes, and our competitors is an asset- Understanding of, and identification with, G Adventures' Core Values
