We are currently hiring for a Procurement Analyst who displays excellent organizational and negotiation capabilities, leadership skills, and the ability to establish and manage purchasing and material sourcing processes, while ensuring cost-efficiencies.

We provide high-quality millwork and interior finishes for retail, commercial, restaurant, hospitality, industrial and multi-unit residential projects.


Duties and responsibilities:


The Procurement Analyst position reports to the Director of Operations and plays an integral role in achieving our company's purchasing goals and supplier-related objectives.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing goals, schedules, and deadlines for each project-related purchase, working within budgetary constraints and overall timelines
  • Collaborating regularly with our Estimating, Engineering, Production, Project Management, Accounting, and Shipping departments to identify procurement requirements and timelines for each project
  • Playing a leadership role in planning, developing, and implementing purchasing policies and procedures
  • Evaluating on an ongoing basis the cost and quality of materials and/or services
  • Sourcing and securing required equipment, material, or sources on a project basis
  • Developing a vendor portfolio strategy and maintaining cooperative and positive working relationships with suppliers
  • Managing vendor relations and creating vendor agreements
  • Identifying and sourcing new suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical capabilities
  • Negotiating prices, conditions, and service deliverables with suppliers
  • Reviewing current systems, strategies, and procedures and making recommendations to improve processes
  • Providing weekly updates to the team regarding current and forecasted spends based on the project BOMs, as well as to ensure project deadlines are being met
  • Controlling material costs while ensuring maximum value, quality and efficiency in sourcing material, with a focus on savings and having a positive financial impact on a project's budget
  • Checking regularly on backorders and coordinating returns as needed

Skills Required:


  • Post-Secondary diploma/degree in business administration, supply chain management or logistics with minimum five years' work experience in purchasing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
  • Experience in the architectural millwork field or construction field considered an asset
  • Resultsoriented and organized, focused on producing highquality work within tight timelines
  • Ability to work and focus on procurement for multiple projects in a fastpaced environment while maintaining an upbeat attitude
  • Dynamic and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive relations with peers, vendors, and internal resources
  • Organized, selfdisciplined, and capable of evaluating the weekly workload and obtaining cooperation from other departments
  • Ability to thrive independently and take initiative
  • Ability to perform with sound judgment, confidence, accuracy, and confidentiality while seeking process improvements and efficiencies and initiating new ideas
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings/blueprints is an asset

Working conditions:


The Procurement Manager is an office position, with working hours from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm on Fridays.

At times, this position may be required to enter the shop to consult with the Production Manager, as well as participate in occasional site visits and client/vendor meetings.
