In this leadership role in the Capital Management family, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of day-to-day Capital 'FP&A' Management functions for the enterprise's Gas Distribution system.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Capital FP&A team in providing active financial support and counsel to Asset Management and business clients.
  • Be responsible for monthly reporting and analysis of actual results as compared to budget and forecast for capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Lead all aspects of monthly forecast process, including providing Asset Management with overhead and overall targets, monitor variances to targets and work with Asset Management to resolve corrective actions, as necessary, to ensure financial reporting/tracking is in line with both the regulatory framework and corporate budget.
  • Lead the development of the annual Budget & LRP for capital expenditures, inservice capital, and depreciation, including analysis of variances and preparation of supporting schedules for various Finance teams.
  • Key support for regulatory filings (annual earnings sharing, cost of service, LTC's, etc.) including evidence development, interrogatory responses, and other ad hoc requests.
  • Review of inservice and IDC forecast and actual reporting.
  • Review of Core and System Improvement dashboard reports and provide support to the project execution teams.
  • Ensure overall accuracy and timeliness of reporting provided by the team while providing valuable service to various business stakeholders to support management decisionmaking.
  • Own AFErelated SOX controls and act as business lead for biannual updates to the COMMS AFE system, and support audit requirements as needed.
  • Participate as a SME on Unify and other special projects.
  • Continuous identification of efficiencies within the team and alignment between legacy UG and EGD reporting and processes
  • Develop proficiencies of direct reports by providing mentorship, knowledgesharing, and cross training opportunities
  • Assist with other responsibilities as needed for the role.

Who You Are:

  • University degree required, preferably Business.
  • Professional Accounting/Finance designation/degree (CMA, CA, CPA, CGA, or MBA) preferred. 7 or more years of postqualification experience in a financial planning & analysis, Capital Management or similar role required, with a preference for progressively more senior positions with experience leading others.
  • Dedicated to meet objectives and deliverables, with a continuousimprovement approach to drive new initiatives and to streamline and optimize work for the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communications, persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Keen attention to detail with extensive experience reviewing complex financial models.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to navigate the complexities of reporting under a regulatory environment and prioritize among competing objectives of financial management strategies, regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience as both a leader and a great teammate, with the ability to build respectful working relationships with team members and business clients.
