    As the Activities Assistant at Clarendon Court, you will help develop and implement wellness programs that promote healthy living and community engagement, while building relationships with residents, team members, and external organizations.

    Completion of Grade 12 education and recognized recreational courses for seniors.
    Previous experience in coordinating activities for seniors or related combinations of education, training, and experience.
    Possession of a valid Class 4 unrestricted driver's license

    You'll be in charge of creating and updating activity calendars, notices, and schedules, overseeing event setup and takedown, and arranging bus transportation for both Independent Living and Assisted Living residents at Baptist Housing.

    This includes driving the Baptist Housing bus, planning engaging activities, and considering feedback from residents and team members.

    You'll also play a role in establishing a network of resources comprising individuals, volunteers, and organizations while promoting health and safety practices within the team.

    Your primary location of work will be at Clarendon Court, our Assisted Living community in South Vancouver.

    Your goal is to foster a vibrant and active community that promotes emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual well-being.

    With a resident-oriented approach, you possess a profound understanding of the issues affecting seniors, which enables you to connect on a personal level.

    You're a team player and a resourceful networker, building meaningful relationships with residents, resource organizations, fellow team members, and volunteers.

    You excel at time management, efficiently scheduling and prioritizing activities to ensure a balanced and engaging daily routine for residents.

    You are proactive in attending recommended relevant conferences, workshops, and events, ensuring you stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in senior care.
