    How you will make contributions that matter...

    Support the plant within the scope of Shift Engineer at the Abbotsford Plant

    Maintain applied live knowledge of regulatory standards and codes:

    Provincial Occupational Health & Safety Regulations

    Including, but not limited to:
    Lock-Out / Tag-Out, Hot Work, Working Alone, Hazardous Materials, HACCP, Exposure Control and Confined Space

    Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

    Municipal Building Codes and Environmental Standards

    Performance of other duties as required.

    Performance of Shift Engineer duties.

    Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of steam generating and refrigeration equipment.

    Services including but not limited to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing components.

    Primarily servicing equipment within the boiler and engineer rooms.

    Handling of emergencies, i.e., Ammonia leaks, power failures, etc.

    Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reliability of all systems and equipment within the scope of engineering.

    You are best suited for the role if you...

    3rd Class Certificate of Competency (B.C./Interprovincial).

    Industrial ammonia experience.

    Able to work in confined spaces.

    Ability to safely manoeuvre tools, equipment and heavy objects.
