Description
We are looking for an energetic and hard-working Project Estimator / Coordinator to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for many things, from material procurement, subcontractor management, estimating, transportation and logistics, cost reporting and project support.


This person is an essential part of the project team and should be a self directed, highly organized individual with exceptional communication skills.


The Company oversees several construction projects at any given time with our core focus being modular construction and workforce accommodation industry.

The Project Coordinator/Estimator should be willing and able to attend site visits for remote projects in Western Canada.


Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Construction Project Coordinator or related field.


  • Postsecondary education

  • Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or related field considered an asset.
  • Strong interest in maintaining a high level of project health, safety and environment (HSE).
  • Good working knowledge of current construction methods, materials, procedures, drawings, specifications and building code.
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
  • Previous experience in modular construction preferred.
  • Ability to handle pressure, prioritize workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be flexible and adaptable.

Project Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent, where applicable, in the daytoday duties of projects administration.
  • Perform budget estimation, scope development, budgeting and participation in tender proposals.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs, issue requests for pricing (RFP's), negotiate contracts and assess quotes for scope gaps.
  • Maintaining accurate reports and organized document control system.
  • Keep track of accurate progress updates and potential issues. Maintain solid documentation, complete daily site reports and PO's.
  • Maintain excellent relationship with contractors, consultants, suppliers and trades.
  • Purchasing materials and scheduling deliveries.
  • Coding receipts, recording invoices and updating budgets trackers.
  • Manage change order process, including tracking costs and anticipating schedule impact for review by construction manager. Tracks project milestones ensuring deliverables are completed and meet project requirements.
  • Assume full responsibility for the execution of all assigned tasks.
