  • Pacific Community Resources Society is seeking a leader to coordinate the efforts of the WorkBC program in North Surrey. Overseeing the daytoday operations of the Centre, the Assistant Manager is responsible for providing training and supervision for staff. They will lead their team to develop and implement strategies that ensure effective service delivery and consistent evaluation of program operations to achieve the outcomes of the program. This position collaborates closely with the Manager, and additional Assistant Manager to promote best practices, ensure highquality services and fiscal viability of the program. This position requires working evenings and weekends based on operational need.

  • Qualifications
  • Certification / Degree in human services or related field plus leadership experience.
  • Expertise in the labor market and employability issues relating to a variety of specialized populations and familiarity with associated legislation and ministry policies.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Criminal record check including the vulnerable sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of WorkBC employment services including knowledge of the Ministry databases.
  • Excellent computer skills and administrative capability that would support the development and implementation of ebased training, assessments, and registration; proficient in MS Office and ability to work with complex databases, specifically the Integrated Case Management (ICM) system.
Additional Assets

  • Mental Health First Aid certification.
  • De-Escalation/Non-Violent Intervention training.
