About the Position
The Logistics Specialist brings strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills to the Operations team.

The role will require effective internal/external coordination to achieve production and sales targets while maintaining quality, distribution, and cost requirements.

Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for optimizing the logistics process to meet organizational goals.


What You Will Do

  • Assist managing material planning, inventory control, shipping and receiving activities
  • Develop material forecast aligned with sales and cost reports
  • Organise shipping/receiving schedules and communicate activities to the involved parties
  • Prepare and compile all necessary shipping documents for domestic and crossborder transport
  • Record and analyze supply chain processes and metrics (system flow, cycle times, order accuracy, costs, delivery and return rates, etc)
  • Monitor supplier performance on ability to meet quality and delivery requirements Collaborate with Operations, Productions, and Quality Assurance teams to identify new suppliers
  • Assess material handling equipment needs for loading, unloading, moving, and storing materials
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and thirdparty carries to resolve concerns
  • Determine opportunities to increase turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service

Who You Are

  • Bring 2 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, and inventory control roles, preferably in the food and beverage industry
  • Have a logistics or supply chain diploma (an asset)
  • Possess a general understanding of import/export regulations and crossborder logistics
  • Proficient with MS Office suite and Inventory Control ERP modules
  • Able to write, read, and present performance reports
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to meet deadlines in a highpaced environment
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing circumstances
  • Able to prioritize projects based on operational needs
  • Selfdriven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Have a visionary approach to continuous improvement with Lean Manufacturing techniques

Logistical Requirements


This is a full-time opportunity and will require the Logistics Specialist to work Monday to Friday out of our newly developed production facility at 23220 Fraserwood Way, Richmond.

Our core business hours are 8:00 to 5:00 PM. Occasionally, you will be requested to work overtime to meet deadlines and departmental goals.
