    The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

    About the Role

    Your Responsibilities

    1. Develop and perform non-routine quality tests on materials and processes.
    2. Maintain up-to-date test instructions and records as per instructions/procedures.
    3. Perform routine lab testing on finished products with respect to sample submissions, prototype evaluations, cost and scrap reduction programs, quality concerns and production verification.
    4. Evaluate incoming material by using appropriate test equipment and methods - perform raw material testing as required.
    5. Acquire and review quotes and select accredited competent subcontractor(s) for testing and calibration not covered at Co-Ex-Tec.
    6. Work with all Manufacturing engineers and Department Process Technicians in resolving any problems regarding manufacturing process capability, using sound Engineering principles and SPC techniques.

    Who we are looking for

    • Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering student at an accredited College or University
    • Manufacturing experience, preferred
    • Knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, process flow required
    • Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, DOE
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Ability to effectively use MS Office Programs to edit or create detailed work instructions
    • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
    • AutoCAD experience, computer literacy required
