Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Clerk is responsible for shipping and receiving Draeger Safety and Draeger Medical equipment.

They maintain shipping records and ensures a sufficient amount of packing materials is always on hand. They manage all warehouse activities, including receiving incoming inventory and non-inventory shipments and processing outgoing shipments.


Main Accountabilities:

  • Receives both Core and Interlock products into SAP. Checks delivery for accuracy and verifies there is no damage to goods. Moves goods to proper locations/departments and/or shelves. Inspects, logs and receives into SAP all inventory items. Moves all inventory items to their appropriate area in the warehouse.

Inspect, log and distribute to appropriate person/department incoming miscellaneous shipments such as customer returns and other items not being warehoused.


  • Pulls orders using the sales SAP pick tickets. Packages properly to prevent damage during transit. Processes shipments using courier (i.e., FedEx, UPS or LTL) shipping manifest systems. Posts pick tickets in SAP. Places packing slip and shipping label on box and places box on outbound cart. Coordinates and prepare shipments in support of other Draeger departments.
  • Prepares Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments via UPS or FX. Properly fills out all necessary DG documentation and places accordingly on the box. Prints out DG documentation at the end of the day and presents to carrier. Maintains Hazardous Material documentation as per 49CFR and arranges hazardous material training as needed.
  • Maintains shipping documents for all couriers. Files claims with carriers for loss or damage, as necessary. Provides necessary customer support in providing tracking numbers and/or help in expediting a shipment as necessary. Performs check counts of inventory items "on hand" as needed.
  • Places request orders with carriers on all shipping related documents, labels, envelopes and shipping supplies. Maintains normal stock levels of boxes used in shipping department and all necessary shipping documents, including foam inserts, bags, foam peanuts and tape.
Replenishes packing area, including boxes and inventory items shipped daily. Fills out a request form for packaging supplies and forwards to Supply Chain Manager.

  • Performs monthly updates on shelf life inventory. Performs annual physical inventory and works with Supply Chain Manager in investigating discrepancies. Helps with second counts as necessary.
  • Maintains all international documentation so North America Compliance has access when needed. Distributes a daily backorder list when pick tickets are not able to be filled 100%.
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving Baxter and Abbvie units. Sanitizes all medical and safety equipment before sending to Draeger Service Department for Repair. Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.

Your Qualifications

Education:


  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent in education, training and experience

Related Experience:

  • One to two years of experience working in a warehouse, packing environment, or in shipping/receiving.

Special Competencies/Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid fork lift operator certificate or willing to obtain
  • Must have or willing to obtain Dangerous Goods certification for air and ground in order to handle and ship DG products
  • Able to operate packing equipment
  • SAP skills preferred
  • Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation purposes
  • Adheres to Logistics Standards and Procedures
  • Results oriented
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment in investigating and solving problems.

Working Conditions:

  • Walking, climbing a rolling warehouse ladder and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Safety Boots are required on the job.
  • Work will be completed in a smoke free environment.
