The TCPI Centre Coordinator for Administration and Research assists the TCPI Director in implementing the vision of the TCPI - to coordinate TCPI hub research, networks, conferences, workshops and events, and to assist networking.

The Centre Coordinator will assist the TCPI Director in developing TCPI as a quality research centre.

The Centre Coordinator will oversee all research-related aspects (aside from grant writing and project management), including ensuring that research projects adhere to Tyndale's Research Ethics Board policy.

The Centre Coordinator will also help ensure the quality of the research by securing the necessary resources to review all research projects.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supporting Centre Director in overall visioneering and catalyzing partners for TCPI;
  • Support for TCPI's "Pastors' Mentoring Network" connecting students and alumni with established pastors, for training, theological reflection
  • Support TCPI Director in research and submission of grant proposals for ongoing funding and future operations of TCPI hubs. Assist Director in procuring stakeholder partnerships for TCPI;
  • Event Coordination and Logistics: Provide logĂ­stical support (e.g., venues and A/V requirements, accommodations and hospitality, marketing, registration etc.) for TCPI /Hub relatedconferences, workshops, and other events;
  • Execute administrative tasks
    associated with the TCPI and its hubs and their activities, including the collection and reporting of Centre /Hub activities and participation data;
  • Maintain schedules and coordinate meetings as required;
  • Prepare, review, and submit expense reports, cheque requisitions and invoices; maintain records of TCPI expenditures; liaise with Business Office and assist with budget matters;
  • Procure data purchases necessary from research databases for projects
  • Maintain all process documentation related to research conducted within the Centre
  • Assist Director in writing annual budget and narrative reports for TCPI

Constituency Service

  • Facilitate healthy interactions between the TCPI Hub leaders (faculty), staff and the larger Tyndale community, building trust and good rapport.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:


a) Education**- University degree or relevant diploma training required

  • Master degree in theology or related field highly preferred

b) Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field
  • Experience in event coordination and administration
  • Experience in theological studies and research coordination
  • Experience in ministry and/or Christian networking

c) Skills and Abilities

  • Both a macro and micro thinker; ability to visioneer and catalyze
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Able to define critical paths and oversee projects to successful and timely completion
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to write and edit for marketing and reporting purposes
  • Ability to work with numbers, managing Centre expenses
  • Computer proficiency (Zoom, MS Office Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Publisher helpful)
  • Basic skills in managing web content and social media
  • Familiarity with Eventbrite registration programs and survey (SurveyMonkey)

d) Personal Characteristics

  • Tactful, cooperative and servicefocused;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with diplomacy and professionalism;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and switch priorities upon request;
  • Ability to take initiative in the absence of the Centre Manager in cooperation with the Dean's Office;
  • A Christian with a sense of call to assist the Seminary /Centre's mission to ignite "pastoral imagination" for times like these, and to assist seminary pastoral students to forge "pathways for tomorrow."
