Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities:


  • Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects.
  • Assist the project manager in the daytoday management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards, and schedule requirements are met.
  • Track and directly report project status updates to the project manager.
  • Help problemsolve issues and suggest ways to improve the project.
  • Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents.
  • Enter information into and manage the digital project databases.
  • Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements.
  • Manage RFIs and Change Orders
  • Prepare drawing packages and issue them to the client per scheduled delivery dates.
  • Ensure the project adheres to a schedule and meets the client's goals.

Qualifications:


  • Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures or detailing software.
  • Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction and fabrication and the ability to read drawings
  • Selfmotivated and able to complete multiple tasks with mínimal guidance
  • Deadlinedriven with attention to detail

Requirements:


  • Diploma/certificate
  • Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada
