Job Description:

In this role you will help develop a growing climate risk practice by:

Supporting the company's internal Subject Matter Experts.
Providing oversight to junior staff in the preparation of climate data intensive assignments.
Providing technical advice and senior review (QA/QC) of climate informed projects and deliverables.
Developing and enhancing internal climate science, modelling and data capabilities.
Assisting with business development and project pursuits.
Participating in client meetings and Professional Associations.

Job Requirements:

8+ years of climate science experience.
Detailed knowledge of the different types of climate change analyses, strengths/weaknesses of different climate models, downscaling techniques, and future climate scenarios.
Aptitude for conducting both qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis, including statistical analysis, modelling and forecasting, as well as scientific data visualization.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with an ability to effectively engage both technical and nontechnical audiences, as well as an ability to clearly summarize findings and offer meaningful insight.
An orientation towards client service, including the ability to elicit and understand client needs and desired outcomes.
Effective project management and organizational skills, including an ability to manage competing priorities.
