Job Description:

In this role you will help develop a growing climate risk practice by:

  • Supporting the company's internal Subject Matter Experts.
  • Providing oversight to junior staff in the preparation of climate data intensive assignments.
  • Providing technical advice and senior review (QA/QC) of climate informed projects and deliverables.
  • Developing and enhancing internal climate science, modelling and data capabilities.
  • Assisting with business development and project pursuits.
  • Participating in client meetings and Professional Associations.

Job Requirements:


  • 8+ years of climate science experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of the different types of climate change analyses, strengths/weaknesses of different climate models, downscaling techniques, and future climate scenarios.
  • Aptitude for conducting both qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis, including statistical analysis, modelling and forecasting, as well as scientific data visualization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with an ability to effectively engage both technical and nontechnical audiences, as well as an ability to clearly summarize findings and offer meaningful insight.
  • An orientation towards client service, including the ability to elicit and understand client needs and desired outcomes.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills, including an ability to manage competing priorities.
