Job Description:

As a data scientist, you will contribute to complex and multidisciplinary projects that span across organizations and product lines. The projects may involve data analysis, data visualization, automation of data processes and building data pipelines.


Contribution in this role:


  • Develop data analytics solutions for component and hardware engineers
  • Develop data visualization dashboards
  • Analyze data and provide recommendation or feedback to improve data quality and/or performance
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers and domain specific engineers on optimal data collection and data warehousing solutions
  • Interact with suppliers and domain specific engineers to gather data requirements
  • Establish a sound technical and interpersonal presence with the customer to keep growing the already established confidence in Averna

Qualifications:

-
Degree: Bachelor degree in computer science, data science, other STEM disciplines with a focus on data analysis and data visualizations


Minimum qualifications:


  • Expert data manipulation experience with SQL and the ability and desire to learn other flavors of SQL as needed
  • Experience with data visualizations tools such as Tableau and/or Looker
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working and/or creating relational databases
  • 4+ years experience involving database sustaining and data analysis
  • 4+ years experience involving feedback on communication with customers and/or external teams

Preferred qualifications:


  • Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and BigQuery
  • Intermediate experience with Python using packages such as: NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, SciPy and for extra credit PyTorch, and/or TensorFlow
  • Ability to be an independent, selfdriven contributor for the customer

Communication:


  • Fluent in English, written & spoken.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives
  • Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation, communication plans, process training, etc.
  • Communicates proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.

Schedule:
Flexible schedule and location - able to host regular calls during customer's working hours
