Description

PipeCom is seeking a collaborative and experienced Financial Analyst with project controls and procurement skills to join our team of knowledgeable problem solvers.

Under the supervision of our Senior Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, providing insights, and making recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has excellent Excel, data modeling and reporting skills.

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop budgets and forecasts, properly allocating costs to capital and operations cost centers
• Analyze and reconcile data using various sources to ensure accuracy
• Analyze financial statements and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare and present financial reports to management
• Build reporting in Excel to track health indicators of projects such as budget, commitment, forecast, and earned value
• Create purchase orders and ensure the procurement process is completed in collaboration with supply chain
• Manage and track packing slips and invoices to maintain records and engage other team members
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance against targets
• Prepare portfolio reports and presentations for management
• Track accruals, depreciation, and anticipated spend
• Route and track statements of work for approval
• Prepare and conduct finance team quarterly meetings attended by directors and managers
• Conduct annual capital project planning
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
• Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with regulations
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills (complex functions, Pivot tables)
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX is highly desirable
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is valued
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data
• Experience with data visualization tools for creating clear and concise reports and presentations
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
