STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:


Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator - Total Rewards provides administrative and clerical support to the Hospital's compensation and benefits program.

The incumbent shall provide back-up support to the Total Rewards Analyst as required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in the efficient operation of the Hospital's compensation and benefits program, including but not limited to the tracking and processing of Credit for Experience requests, Letters of Employment, terminations, and Portability Letters.
  • Audit and prepare monthly Benefits Provider invoices.
  • Process Employee Benefits and Pension Plans (HOOPP) enrolments and liaise with external Benefits provider to respond to queries and discrepancies.
  • Process and maintain Physician Direct Deposit enrolments.
  • Enter and retrieve employee data from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Investigate and respond to inquiries from staff, Management and outside agencies in a courteous and confident manner.
  • Type/prepare standard correspondence, specialized and mass distribution letters, memoranda, forms, nominations, posters, power point presentations, and other general typing work as directed.
  • Develops and maintain effective working relationships with Human Resources and internal stakeholders.
  • Data entry, filing, file preparation, photocopying, faxing, scanning, as required.
  • Acts as a backup for the Helpdesk Administrator as required.
  • Takes minutes at meetings as deemed necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Diploma / Certificate in Human Resources Management from a community college or a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in a unionized environment.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, facilitation, conflict resolution, collaboration, and communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Preferred:


  • Diploma / Certificate in Human Resources Management from a community college or a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in a unionized environment.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, facilitation, conflict resolution, collaboration, and communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
