Description

Purpose


We are looking for a Project Manager (Scrum Master) to join our software development team and help us deliver high-quality products using the scrum framework.

As a scrum master, you will be responsible for facilitating and guiding the team in adopting and implementing scrum practices, such as planning, reviewing, and retrospecting sprints, managing the product backlog, and resolving impediments.

You will also act as a coach and mentor to the team, promoting collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.


Key Areas of Accountability

  • Organize and lead scrum ceremonies, such as daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Ensure that the team follows the scrum values and principles, as well as the agreedupon processes and standards
  • Work closely with the product owner to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring that it is clear, concise, and aligned with the product vision and goals
  • Monitor and track the progress and performance of the team using appropriate tools and metrics, such as burndown charts, velocity, and quality indicators
  • Identify and remove any obstacles or blockers that may hinder the team from delivering the sprint goals
  • Provide feedback and support to the team members, helping them improve their skills, competencies, and collaboration
  • Foster a positive team culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and ownership
  • Act as a liaison between the team and other stakeholders, such as customers, management, or other teams
  • Educate and advocate for scrum best practices within the team and the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Certified scrum master (CSM) or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of experience as a scrum master or agile coach in software development projects
  • Proficient in using scrum tools, such as Jira, or Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities
  • Strong problemsolving and conflictresolution skills
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum Agile, SAFe frameworks

Working Environment

  • Hybrid 3 days from office

Compensation

  • The base salary offered for this role is $85,000 $110,000 per annum and can vary based on jobrelated expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
  • Eligible for Rocky Mountaineer's discretionary bonus program
