THE OPPORTUNITY
Portable Electric is looking for a
Technical Program Manager who will be responsible for managing and coordinating cross-functional projects.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and that they meet quality standards.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Technical Development, Product Development, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensurer that all teams are aligned and working towards the same goals and timelines.

You are someone who understands the importance of building genuine relationships with your peers, partners, and customers to achieve results.

To succeed in this role, you will have extensive experience managing multiple complex projects that include both software and hardware, and ideally within the clean tech industry.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage the entire project life cycle from ideation, requirements gathering, through to product development, manufacturing and launch
  • Lead and create project plans, developing timelines and identifying key milestones and metrics
  • Manage crossfunctional processes throughout the entire project life cycle including:
  • Sprint planning
  • Deviation and rework tracking
  • Issue tracking
  • Resolution implementation
  • Safety observation
  • Corrective action tracking
  • Support the product development processes including coordinating phase gate reviews, program timing, costing, scoping, resource management, deliverable tracking, and scheduling
  • Performs and leads regular risk analysis and proactively manages risks including crossfunctional issues
  • Assists in identifying, defining and executing all issues, risk and crossfunctional initiatives
  • Provides regular status reports to senior leadership, highlighting project progress, risks and any issues that need to be addressed Provide ad hoc program management as needed for crossfunction issues and task forces**WHO YOU ARE
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex crossfunctional programs in a startup like environment
  • Proven experience in building program management processes
  • Proven experience in project management, including creating and managing project plans, identifying and managing risks and working with crossfunctional teams
  • Proficient in project management software including Wrike, JIRA, NetSuite and other similar tools
  • Client and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, having the ability to communication technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Strong problemsolving skills, being able to identify and solve complex problems Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals
    NICE TO HAVES
  • Experience in product development in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management Knowledge or expertise in electrification or the cleantech industry
