Qualifications and Skills:

• Processing of supplier invoices and supporting documents
• Investigate and resolve any accounts payable irregularities and inquiries
• Preparation of invoices for biweekly payment processing
• Updating various databases for job costing allocations
• Backup for payroll processing using third party services and/or Quickbooks
• Providing administrative support as needed
• Working knowledge MS Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to prioritize and work independently or as part of a team as required
• Attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable and associated reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of monthly supporting schedules for financial statements
• Accurately update and maintain databases and records
• Update and maintain both electronic and paper filing management systems
• Provide administrative support to rest of team

Requirements:

• Successful completion of college or other program for accounting or bookkeeping
• Minimum of 23 years' general accounting experience in private business
• Understanding of accounting rules and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of accounting software, specifically Sage 50 and QuickBooks is considered an asset.
