We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team for a fixed term contract covering a maternity leave.

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Specialist with a proven track record in supporting marketing initiatives, ideally within the CPG industry.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Product:

  • Lead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive product launch plans, including GotoMarket strategies, communication plans, and coordination with crossfunctional teams such as sales, commercialization, etc.
  • Take ownership of the product development lifecycle and roadmap, ensuring adherence to timelines and tracking progress against milestones.
  • Drive new product innovation and line extensions based on consumer insights and market opportunities.
  • Analyze product performance, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

Communications:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Lead the development of creative briefs for social, digital, PR, and influencer campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand strategy & annual communication objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications activities, adjusting strategies and tactics to optimize performance & provide actionable insights.
  • Maintain budgets & oversee management of brand assets and ensure the implementation of visual identity guidelines and brand tone, maintaining cohesive and consistent representation across all marketing materials.

Requirements:


  • University degree in Business/ Marketing, or other relevant field.
  • 2+ years' experience in a marketing role, ideally at a Canadian consumer packaged goods company.
  • Experience managing agencies including Creative agency, Media, and PR
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative problemsolving skills and the ability to think strategically about marketing challenges and opportunities.
  • A collaborative and teamoriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
  • Business acumen, with the ability to understand and interpret financial and market data to inform marketing strategies and decisions.
  • Must have strong verbal & written communication skills, time management skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • A good understanding of the Canadian retail and consumer landscape.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Basic French proficiency is a bonus
