SUPERVISOR SYSTEM ANALYST

SCOPE:

As a System Analyst (SA) Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of SA's in assessing software quality through manual and automated testing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure high-quality products are released to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and mentor a team of Analysts.
Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
Create and execute test cases and test plans.
Assist team in performing manual and automated testing as needed.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
Track and report defects and testing progress to stakeholders.
Manage priorities for all support tickets with our suppliers
Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Continually improve QA processes and strategies
Assist the manager to prepare and schedule projects.
Perform annual performance reviews and updates.
Help plan and health check systems upgrades.
Prepare and execute version update and testing.
Support the Major Incident management process.
Ensure proper systeM/Functional documentation is complete and ready for distribution.
Office presence required 3 days a week with Tuesday and Wednesday mandatory.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

College diploma with emphasis in computer science with at least 2 years experience in the Wholesale Travel industry; Airlines.
In-depth knowledge of activities performed by all other departments, especially E-commerce web site, reservations, ticketing, inventory control, operations, their policies and procedures;
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, judgement and people management skills.
Solid knowledge of the tour operator industry and relationships between ACV and Air Canada;
Knowledge of travel reservations systems and the role of Information Technology within the corporation. Experience supporting The Travel System (TTS) and Revelex H5 is an asset.
Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence as tracking and documentation tools.
