A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users.

Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.

Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record.

eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.


The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.


About the Role


Competencies required in this position would be obtained through a certificate or diploma in business and/or office education combined with five years of progressive senior administrative experience.


  • Experience supporting members of the Senior Executive, including calendar management for multiple leaders and proactively seeking creative solutions when required. Considerable experience in preparing agendas and taking minutes at meetings while identifying items for follow up. Capacity to quickly and accurately prepare a variety of documents utilizing advanced features of spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify issues, make timely and accurate decisions and independently organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail, ability to set priorities, complete assigned duties within timelines and work effectively with mínimal supervision, deal with conflicting priorities and work demands;
  • Commitment to and passion for customer service, relationship building, teamwork, quality improvement and attention to details [both big and small]. High tolerance for achieving results in a complex and dynamic environment with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, at all organizational levels including at the political level, with members of the public and external agencies.
  • Understanding of governance and operational processes as well as familiarity with the public sector structures and processes;
  • Collaboration with a team of administrative assistants to ensure the Divisions are well supported while reporting to the Executive Coordinator as part of the Executive Administrative Team and assistance with Executive Administration coverage as required;
  • Maintaining the filing and preparing a variety of materials and documents using appropriate software. Familiarity and experience utilizing a variety of software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) including WebEx.
