Job purpose

• To ensure the efficient operation of the afternoon shift by coordinating and overseeing the team members' tasks, managing quality of work, troubleshooting machine problems, maintaining productivity goals and managing team dynamics._

Duties and responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all Health & Safety rules and protocols
• Follow and enforce IFM's Code of Conduct
• Maintain and enforce IFM's standards of health, safety, hygiene and security in accordance with policies and procedures
• Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures provided for equipment operation and work processes
• Communicate with Production Supervisor and review End of Shift reports in preparation for day's tasks/goals
• Lead Shift Daily Huddles
• Monitor welding, sewing and cutting department productivity/progress throughout day
• Prepare roll media for Tubers
• Complete first quality control inspection on each work order for Cutters, Sewers & Flange Welders
• Prepare boxes for IFM Europe order, complete final inspection and skid
• Completed final inspection on finished product from Flange Welders & Sewers
• Close and label boxes and move to preshipping prep areas
• Operate Tuber 2 during breaks and lunch and arrange coverage at other Weld Department work centres as required
• Respond to pages and inquiries from welding, sewing and cutting department staff
• Remove empty flange boxes and product bins from Flange Welder work stations
• Troubleshoot weld department machine problems and liaise with Maintenance to coordinate repairs
• Review Issued Material by Tuber Operator
• Oversee maintenance of clean and tidy work areas to optimize processes
• Identify Welding department operational requirements for specific Work Centre materials and/or tools and communicate these requests to the appropriate person
• Provide support to Production Supervisor as required

• Minimum one year of Team Lead experience

• Steeltoed shoes are mandatory

From $17.00 per hour
