OVERVIEW:

The
Warehouse Person selects, organizes, and processes material in the warehouse in accordance with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Loads and unloads trucks, using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand
Moves material between departments
Maintains stock areas
Checks packing slips and labels for accuracy
Retrieves and prepares material according to Shipping Release and job envelope information
Receives and maintains bills of lading and packing slips for use in reports
Coordinates arrangements with trucking companies for special pickups or deliveries
Performs minor preventive maintenance on forklifts and pallet jacks

COMPETENCIES

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy; detailoriented
Strong timemanagement skills; ability to work well with deadlines
Good reading and comprehension skills
Good mathematical skills
Ability and willingness to work scheduled rotating shifts
Ability to lift items weighing 40 lbs and perform duties involving stretching motions, stair climbing, ladder climbing, and standing
