Our facility in Parry Sound Ontario, in the heart of the beautiful 30,000 islands, has a new employment opportunity.


Stockroom Clerk (Part-time)
Keeps thorough records of items shipped or received, and tracks inventory changes in supply or demand.


Responsibilities:


  • Request to order stock, nonstock materials and services in a way to avoid material shortages.
  • Receive and process all materials, services and place them in proper bins and label if necessary.
  • Ensure all materials leaving stockroom are properly signed out of inventory.
  • Conduct inventory counts and maintain computer database.
  • Takes care storage of materials in the proper bins and general housekeeping in the stockroom area.
  • Always look for improvement in flow of material(handling), shipping cost and material cost.
  • Perform clerical duties in stockroom.
  • Handle safely and securely stockroom products or materials.
  • Maintain and manage stockroom as per Company's procedures.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years' experience in stockroom, inventory management and warehousing would be a strong asset.
  • Possess a keen sense of attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
  • High degree of selfdiscipline and motivation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity in using MS Excel/spreadsheet reports.
  • Experience with a computerized inventory management program an asset.
  • Good knowledge in lead time, safety stock and order cost.


  • Approximately 24 hours/week

Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour
