Responsibilities- Ensuring the preparation of materials, installation sites, and equipment
- Install doors, windows, custom shower glass, mirror, commercial aluminum, glass and other related products.
- Diagnose and service requests for window, door, and other product repair and maintenance requests.
- Performing interior and exterior finishing of installations
- Professional, positive client interaction and satisfaction
- Travel to client worksites and suppliers.
- Safely and properly load, secure, transfer, and unload tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
- Safe handling of glass, mirror, tools, and other products.
- Measuring and cutting of glass, mirror and other materials
- Install and/or replace glass and mirror products, including windows and doors, using hand and/or power tools.
- Examine and test doors and windows to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow instructions from supervisors.
- Ensuring cleanliness and safety on job sites
- Train and instruct any assigned employees.
- Keep company vehicle and equipment clean, presenting a professional image.
- Other duties as assigned including but not limited to shop cleaning and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Experience successfully completing glass, window, and/or door installations without supervision.
- Sealed Unit Replacement
- Residential Window and Door Installation Experience
- Exterior Caulking Experience
- Interior Finishing Experience
- Brake Experience
- Problem-Solving Abilities
- Attention to detail.
- Good organization skills and effective time management.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Experience with installing highquality framed, semiframeless, and custom heavy glass showers and mirror an asset.
- Confident working on ladders and at heights indoors and outdoors
- Proficient and dependable with strong attendance and safety record.
- Physical Stamina, Able to comfortably lift and unload weights in excess of 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Yes, we work outdoors.
- Possesses hand tools and associated knowledge required to perform work duties.
- Proven experience with power tools, including drills and saws.
- Must be able to read work orders and related material.
- Must be able to understand numbers as they relate to dimensions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with clients and coworkers while working in stressful public situations.
- Ability to operate effectively as a member of, in addition to possibly leading, a work crew.
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision while on assignment.
- Skilled at the sealed unit and window replacements
- Skilled at capping and trimming windows and exterior doors.
- Able to operate a brake to make window caps, molds, and fascia.
- Ability to work in metric and imperial measurements.
- Manual dexterity
- Must provide your own CSAapproved safety footwear.
- Physical demands require standing, walking, climbing, sitting, pulling, pushing, and lifting of equipment and materials as required.
- Working conditions include an outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather.
Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
