Reports To:
Store Manager


Primary Purpose:

To assist with the day-to-day supervision of the thrift store: organization, receiving the product by donation, pricing items, structuring of the sales floor and supervising staff and volunteers.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the organization, planning, development, implementation, and administration of the thrift store to ensure it is run excellently and meets the goal requirements
  • Provide supervision to staff, volunteers, and ATCCC students
  • Sort, price, mark, create and display products
  • Ensure the store is clean and organized
  • Assist the manager in ensuring the store meets all city, provincial, federal and ATC accreditation requirements for retail and safety
  • Ensure that the storage of donations is neat and orderly
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment at all times
  • Educate & train staff and volunteers
  • Be consistent in ensuring all staff follow safety practices
  • Provide leadership and support to the Health & Safety Committee
  • Participation in new personnel growth, & training
  • Perform opening and closing procedures of the store in accordance with company protocols.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all funds by adhering to cash handling policies and procedures.

Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a thrift store or store management an asset
  • Enthusiastic about the thrift store industry
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all staff
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and advise staff and students as necessary
  • Discretion and patience in working alongside atrisk individuals
  • Conflict resolution experience or training an asset
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Flexible with scheduling

Pay:
From $17.55 per hour
