Victoria Vision is a small, locally-owned optometry clinic where patient care is the priority. We have been helping patients in downtown Victoria have clear vision and healthy eyes since 1981.

Our doctors and staff work together inform a diverse range of patients about their eye health and provide guidance in selecting eyewear and other treatments to enable lifelong eye health.

Our goals are excellence in caring for our patients, caring for each other and caring for the community we serve.


About the Job

As Front Desk Administrator you will be responsible for the co-ordination and administration of written, verbal and digital communications related to patients and their care.


  • Responsibilities will include_
  • Being the primary first point of contact for patients
  • Coordination of patient flow through in office visits
  • Coordination of followup communication with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Administrative tasks related to patient needs
  • General office administration


This is a full time, permanent position, with typical requirement for 8 hours of work within normal clinic operating hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm).


  • Required Qualifications_
  • Active listening, compassion and patience in helping a diverse range of people feel comfortable
  • Detailoriented, efficient and organized communication skills
  • Selfaware with a professional standard of ethics and conduct
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to adapt to help meet patient needs
  • Multitasking in a very busy environment
  • Able to work both collaboratively and independently within a busy multitasking environment
  • Passion for helping people
  • Desired Qualifications_
  • Able to remember names, faces and personal stories
  • Active interest in health and vision
  • Familiarity with maintaining social media presence
  • Medical Office Assistant education or experience
  • A fast learner
