Description

Qualifications:

• A recognized degree or diploma in an engineering field (P.Eng. qualified preferred)
• Proficiency in Autodesk software, Revit and AutoCAD, preferably practical work experience in 2D/3D mechanical design
• Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards
• Computer skills (MS Office, CAD, Windows...)
• Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written)
• Excellent work ethic

Responsibilities:

• Prepares and/or develops 2D/3D process piping, HVAC, and Structure/Architecture drawings from design concepts by senior designer/engineer within the discipline or from design documents of the front-end disciplines.
• Prepares portions of 3D Revit design model with no supervision (ability to field check and revise model/drawings accordingly)
• Reviews checks and incorporate design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the team.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs from the drawings and generate material list in communications with supervisor.
• Is responsible for the accuracy of 3D model, as built model and of the 2D drawings generated from 3D model.
• Works with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate designs.
• May develop work plans and schedules for basic designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline when assigned.
• Compiles, maintains, and accesses job drawing files, records, and drawing controls, as instructed.
