The Opportunity

As a NW Ontario Area Summer Student, you'll be a valued member of Canadian Gas Operations Central Region team stationed in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The NW Ontario Area team supports the operation and maintenance of the non-regulated gas storage facility and compressor stations.


What you'll do- Assist with installation, testing, repair, operation and maintenance on compressor station equipment, and other facilities relevant to the pipeline system as required; Assist with routine and major maintenance on gas turbine packages, gas compressor units, meter station assets equipment and associated auxiliary equipment assist with pipeline asset maintenance; Assist and complete facility maintenance including monthly fire and safety inspections and general janitorial duties; Comply with TC Energy's safety, health, environment, and risk standards ; Complete all administrative functions related to position and duties ; Other tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications- Must be completed a 1st year within a Technology program with a preference for those with a specialization in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Controls Enrollment at an accredited University or Technical College, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity and collaboration Legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work permit Hold a valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications- Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting Familiar with mechanical and electrical maintenance skills Physically able to complete janitorial duties, painting, landscaping, and light and heavy labor (over 50lbs./22.7kg) Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team settingAbout our business
