Procurement and Warehouse Supervisor


Braya Renewable Fuels is looking for an energetic and self-motivated team member to join the Purchasing team at the Refinery in Come By Chance.


Required Qualifications:


  • Successful completion of the Supply Chain Management Professional designation
  • 3 to 5 years of comparable management and supervisory experience
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Experience in warehouse inventory management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office, in particular excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Work experience in a unionized environment an asset
  • Experience with using Maximo an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and self motivated
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop purchasing strategies that focus on efficiency, cost savings and is in line with the overall organization business strategy.
  • Ensure that current procurement policies are being followed properly and develop improvements where needed.
  • Lead the development and use of key performance indicators.
  • Lead the negotiations of major purchasing contracts.
  • Organizes, leads and participates in material cycle counts ensuring accurate on hand quantities
  • Primarily responsible for ensuring adequate inventory is on hand for daily operational needs while keeping wastage at a minimum
  • Will be the direct contact with various vendors to obtain and negotiate the best possible price, delivery and purchase terms
  • Provide coaching to the buyers and warehouse personnel.
  • Supervision and delegation of warehouse personnel
  • Proactively manage material stocks to reduce wastage while ensuring adequate inventory stock for daily operations
  • Generate reports as needed for review and analysis, and as requested by others in the organization.
  • Implement process improvements where needed.
