theScore Bet is currently live in the Company's home province of Ontario. theScore also creates and distributes innovative digital content through its web, social and esports platforms.


About the Role & Team
theScore is looking for a Product Manager with demonstrated success to join the team.

As an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial product leader, you will innovate and execute on product initiatives that will focus on the core wagering experience in our sports betting products, including theScore Bet and ESPN Bet.


The Product Manager will have a track record of owning and delivering experiences to customers that raise the bar from an innovation, usability, and design perspective.

You will be expected to dive right in and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


About the Work
As a key member of our Product team, you will:

  • Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new features related to the core wagering experience
  • browsing bets, building betslip, placing bets, and settlement of bets.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, other product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, user researchers, and marketers to shape requirements.
  • Establish, measure, and iterate toward KPIs and goals related to your domain.
  • Work in an agile environment and lead a crossfunctional team to prioritize product features.
  • Manage the Jira board and ensure release management tasks are completed.
  • Develop and thoroughly present goforward recommendations to stakeholders and executive team members.
  • Exhibit sound product judgment, contribute to the product strategy, and lead implementation of that strategy as it aligns with organizational and business objectives.
  • Drive the continued growth of the Product Team through mentorship, developing best practices, and continuous improvement targets.
  • Other duties as required.

About You

  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years' experience in product management.
  • Experience at a software technology company is required, with considerable experience working directly with developers
  • Familiarity with sports wagering products/technology is
    strongly preferred:
  • either through previous experience or being a sports bettor yourself.
  • Ability to communicate across diverse cultures, work styles, and personalities.
  • Ability to write product specifications in a concise and articulate manner.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to present work to executive staff.
  • Highly analytical with exceptional data analysis skills.
  • Ability to execute against defined objectives both tactically and strategically.
  • Must be a great collaborator and communicator who can explain complex problems in a simple way.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and growth of your skill set.
  • Competency in technical concepts is considered an asset. You may not be able to write an API, but you know how to leverage them and how they function throughout the products you build.
  • Understand user behavior trends with the end goal of influencing metrics, conversion, and engagement.
  • Must be a selfstarter, a team player, and driven. You have the ability to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to help your team win.
  • High bar for delivering quality — from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on.
